ISTIAM RIVER KAYAK TOUR
During this three hour tour you will enjoy nature at its best. You will paddle by the lake shore for 45 minutes until you reach the mouth of the Istiam River.
In case you do not want to paddle till the mouth of the river, we have a motor boat that can dropped you off there and take you back to the pier at the end
At the river you will have the opportunity to observe a great variety of birds, monkeys, turtles and the “cuajipal” (a type of caiman native to the island). You will also appreciate the variety of plant life typical to this wetland ecosystem. Without any doubt this is the most exciting and exotic tour that Ometepe Island has to offer.
