Daily and nightly guided kayak tours of the Istiam River

During this three hour tour you will enjoy nature at its best. You will paddle by the lake shore and its beach until you will reach the mouth of the Istiam River.
Once you have reached the river you will have the opportunity to observe a great variety of birds, monkeys, turtles and the “cujipal” (a type of caiman native to the island). You will also be able to appreciate the variety of plant life typical of this wetland ecosystem.
Without any doubt this is the most exciting and exotic tour that Ometepe Island has to offer.

Traditional Fishing tour

On Ometepe Island the local people survive on rice, beans, plantain and fish. On this two hour tour you will be able to experience a traditional form of fishing that has been used here for long time.
You will travel on a wooden boat accompanied by experienced and skillful local fishermen who will catch the abundant fish found in the lake.
At the end of the tour our cook will prepare the fish that you might have caught.(Tilapia, mojarra, guapote and other species found in the lake).

PRICES:
$ 20.00 per person, minimum 2 persons.
